Watch Winder

Watch winders are a particularly useful tool for automatic watches. They move the watch around its own axis and thus imitate the human movement of the wrist. Automatic watches work with kinetic energy and therefore need to be moved constantly to keep running. If they are not, they stop after 3 - 4 days and then have to be completely reset. Especially with complex chronographs, which also have additional functions besides the time display, resetting is usually very time-consuming. This can be avoided by using a watch winder. However, it is important that it is set to the direction of rotation and the respective movement. The information on this can usually be found on the underside of the watch. When buying a watch winder, make sure that it can rotate in both directions, as different watches have different winding directions. This offers the advantage that different watches can be moved with only one watch winder. The movements then exert a torque on the winding mechanism so that the watch continues to run.
